The two inks cartridges are the same size , the XL just means that it is a larger capacity of ink in the cartridge. I have used the XL for several years with no problem in my Canon Printer.

The XL ink cartridges have a longer print life, ie I think it is a better deal.

Yes it is the same and will fit. It just holds more ink in the same size cartridge. I recommend it!

The XL means it has more ink in it. It will fit in the printer
