What does the XL designation mean? null

There are 2 identical ink cartridges, just different quanity of ink. The XL is the one with more ink so they last longer.

You get more ink in a cartridge compared to the regular size.

standard ink cartridges are not completely full, the xl means that you are paying for the cartridge to be completely full therefore having more ink to print.

This means there is an extra large amount of ink in the cartridge. It lasts longer than the regular one.

XL means it has a higher ink capacity.
