So does this work with just the Canon 6D (not mark ii) null

According to the Canon website, the 6D takes the BGE13 and the 6D Mark II takes the BGE21. I own the Mark II so I can't get a better picture of the one for your camera. Both are high priced considering they don't come with batteries. Either of the two versions require two batteries.

It works with any camera that has the same battery type.
