Yes. The R6 is a RF mount. It will allow you to mount EF lenses.

It will and it does. In fact, when the R6 was introduced, some markets included, as a free bonus item, the similar adapter that lacks the control ring. That adapter retails for 1/2 the price of this one, so if the control ring isn't that important to you when using EF lenses, you can save a little money. And 3rd party EF to RF adapters (also without the control ring) are about 1/4 the price of this item.

Yes!  I purchased the adapter for my new R6 and it allows me to use my prime lenses with the camera.

Even though mine was second hand although advertised as new, and all beat up [sorry Best Buy, be happy or feel sorry for me that i was forced to get it from eBay at double the retail price or go without], nevertheless, it has worked excellent on the R6 and R5, producing clearly better images than those from my 5D mark iv with same lens that obviously does not require this mount adapter.
