• Yes. I have been using it for up close shots on flowers. It provides a wonderful finished picture.

• Not really, it’s a very good lens for portraits and stuff like that but for macro I wouldn’t recommend it. You can rent one and see how it works for you before buying it. You may be able n to get son macro photos, but don’t expect too much.
