It depends. If your lens is an EF-S lens, it will not work. If the lens is an EF lens, it will work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your lens should physically fit, but if it is a lens specifically designed for a crop sensor camera like the T6i then the image circle it produces won’t cover the full frame sensor in the 6Mii.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends on which lens you've been using. The Rebel-series cameras, the 2-digit models (20D, 60D, etc.), and the 7D use a "cropped sensor" that has a different lens back-spacing than the "full frame" cameras like then 5D and 6D. You can use either EF-S lenses or EF lenses with the T6i, but only EF lenses with the 6D.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends on the lens. If the lens says EF-S (or EF-M), it will not fit this camera. If it just says EF, it will fit. I had a wide angle lens that wouldn't work, but a 50mm prime that would. The 18-55mm that came with the T6i is probably EF-S, so it wouldn't work. But I don't use that lens so I'm not sure if it's EF or EF-S. If your lens is EF-S, you do NOT want to try it on this camera. You could damage the mirror inside the camera body.
