4K is the amount of pixels stored in the video for higher quality. Its like the TV's, the more amount of detail that is stored means the CMOS or capturing portion of the camera needs to have the ability to see and save it. However according to canon's website I see the RP is listed to also have 4K.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The main difference is the MP the rp is 26.2 and the r is 30.3. And the r will shoot 3 f more FPS in continuous shooting Other then a slight size difference and the r will get more pictures on a battery then the rp
