Great features best one for me 120fps
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The EOS R has been on my wish list for quite sometime and I finally got it Now I can further my path in photography and videography especially the 4K and the slomo Is great I love it the EOS R is great and the price is pretty reasonable just wish I had a scroll wheel but it’s a great camera and for those people who still wanna hold onto their sigma lens 18-35 it’s perfect once you have the adapter and the 4K crop makes it perfect but still get a few full frame canon lenses if you can.

Can not help loving it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using it for over 6 months and am loving it for fast auto focus good for action and wild life photos. Yet again, Canon Delivers!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first full frame mirrorless camera. I’ve been using crop sensor DSLRs forever (all Canon) and I decided to finally make the switch. This camera definitely has some weight to it, however, it feels incredibly sturdy. I do a lot of outdoor photography, sometimes in very harsh conditions, and I feel like this camera can take a beating. I went hiking in Alaska for several days with this camera clipped to the front of my chest on my backpack strap (Peak Design capture clip). When the camera was clipped on me, I didn’t notice the weight of the camera/lens whatsoever. The photo quality, function and ease of use is flawless, as you’d expect from Canon. I would definitely recommend this over the Canon EOS RP. It’s just all around nicer. If you’re going to invest in a full frame mirrorless camera, don’t skimp. I purchased this camera mainly for astrophotography and I’m glad I chose this camera over the Canon EOS RA (Canon’s dedicated astrophotography camera). The EOS R handles astrophotography very well and it’s nice that it can be used for daylight photography too, unlike the RA. Hiking a great distance for several days straight with two cameras (one for daylight, one dedicated to astrophotography) would have been too cumbersome. This camera is a perfect combination of both in one. I definitely recommend this camera as an all-in-one for adventure seeking photographers. Don’t count the EOS R out for astrophotography, it’s telescope mountable! The only sign of struggle I saw was when I was shooting in -12 Fahrenheit weather. I had plenty of protection on the camera and I had hand warmers adhered directly to the body and battery enclosure, but the amount of time it took the camera to process an image was almost triple. (Despite my efforts to keep this baby warm!) That’s to be expected though when you’re intermittently photographing in the Arctic Circle with this type of camera. It probably would have performed better in extreme cold if I was shooting continuously. Temp 0 and above the processing time was very fast. Overall, this camera performed better than I expected.

Canon EOS R: An incredible digital camera!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned many high performance cameras starting in 1970 with the Canon FT, a 35 mm film camera and I have a large collection of Canon FL, EF, EFS, and RF lenses as well as special T-mount lenses. I am in the process of buying adapters for all of those older lenses for my new Canon EOS R digital camera. The combination of those lenses, my filter collection and my Meade LX200GPS 200 mm F/10 catadioptric telescope and my Skywatcher 900 mm, F/9 ED refractor telescope will give me an incredible range of objects to photograph. The camera has an unbelievable number of features for focusing, exposure, etc. The full frame CMOS imager with 30.3 Mpixels was the final feature that sealed the deal!

Eos R gets it done!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a bit worried with the R5 and R6 releasing that buying this would be a mistake but I absolutely love this camera and I don’t regret buying this 1 bit! The RF glass is beyond comparison. Don’t worry about buying the R5 and R6 if it’s out of your budget; this camera speaks for itself and it’s still outperforms!

Q: QuestionWill the waterproof feature protect against moisture if the camera is in a cave 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, 4 months a year?
Asked by DawnB.
- A:Answer The answer will depend on the depth of the cave- as it relates to sea level. Also is there a moisture measurement?

Q: QuestionHow is the battery life on this camera when filming? Looking to use it more for videoing, but for taking photos as well.
Asked by Chuck.
- A:Answer It’s pretty descent! As a professional I’d say always keep a backup battery tho and this camera and stock 24-105mm lens does not disappoint

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between this camera and a Cannon EOS RP that doesn't say 4K video? Don't they both do video? What does 4K mean? Thank you for your help.
Asked by Jvillan.
- A:Answer 4K is the amount of pixels stored in the video for higher quality. Its like the TV's, the more amount of detail that is stored means the CMOS or capturing portion of the camera needs to have the ability to see and save it. However according to canon's website I see the RP is listed to also have 4K.
