Honestly I think it does better outside than inside, especially with zoom, some people say the Nikon is better for environment pictures but it’s a bit more expensive and doesn’t offer WiFi which it’s really convenient for downloading images with WiFi that’s why I chose this one rather than the Nikon but I’m impressed with how well it does outdoors, even in the rain. I haven’t had it in the rain too much but the coloring and light is good. I’ve shot deer, ground hogs, birds, dogs, cats etc clear shot with good lighting adjustment.
