Canon - imageCLASS MF654Cdw Wireless Color All-In-One Laser Printer - White Q: Does anyone know why there are lines across photos that are printed and is there any cure? The photos are changed to pdfs before printing. If you are referring to the above-listed printer, it is not made for printing photos. Stated in manuel.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know about the problems to the photos but I have heard it is a Win10 update that's causing the 'PDF' problem. I'm not as technical as I used to be but search on your pc for the "PRINT TO FILE" setting and change it. I forget what to change it to but it will be obvious once you get there. Hope this helps.

Either or both MIGHT be the cause, but I am doubtful, especially as to the first. Are the lines vertical or horizontal, or possibly on a diagonal? Are they black, or another color? Are they even or uneven? Do they occur on the same part of the paper every time, or different parts. Are they extra color, or absence of color? Were the photos created with this printer, or are they from another source? Are there marks on the originals (zoom in on them in the computer be sure on this point)? If created on this printer, did you use the auto feeder, or manually swap out the originals? Without seeing the line or knowing more details about them, it is not possible to give you a definite answer. All printers have a built-in test function, accessed in different ways on different models and manufacturers. You should check the manual under "Troubleshooting." My first instinct is that it is accessible from the operating screen attached to the unit, probably under "Menu," but I am guessing here. Sometimes there is one test for all parts, while others have different tests for different situations. The test print will help you isolate the cause of the problem, as well provide instructions on how to correct it. Generally speaking, clean the glass on the scanner, and any the rollers or other parts in the document feeder that come in contact with a scan or printed copy. Use compressed air to blow out the inside of the unit, to eliminate any dust mites stuck somewhere. Remove each cartridge, blow out the area they sit in, and shake the cartridges back and forth, keeping them in a horizontal position. Also clean the image drum (also known as drum unit or photo-conductor), transfer roller or belt, and fuser. Your manual will identify these parts and tell you how best to clean them. Unfortunately, as any piece of equipment becomes more complicated, there are more ways for something to go wrong.
