QuestionThe manual states, pg. 168: "If a FINE cartridge runs out of ink, you can print with either color or black FINE cartridge...only for a while." If I want to print text only with a black cartridge for an extended period of time will the printer be damaged?

QuestionMy pixma times out and powers down between each use. I have to push the power button before each use. Is there a way to leave the printer on permanently? It kind of defeats the purpose of the printer if you have to get up to turn it on

- Answer I just scanned 2 different 1-page docs from my computer using the copy area and they turned out great, and I'm not particularly tech savvy. I hope this helps.

- Answer I think so, if I remember there was also a website you could go to for the printer setup. I used the cd on my laptop, because I didn't want to download from the website. I downloaded the cannon app from google play store for my android tablets.

- Answer I haven't been able to! also it would even going into wireless mode unless you press color, wireless the black buttons. then it will see the printer put when you go to print it doesn't.
