• No it does not scan. BUT... You can take a picture of the document with your phone and then install the printer on your phone and print the document from your phone. With the right app (and there are a bunch) you can take a picture of anything really and turn it into a PDF ect and print.

• No, this only functions as a printer. I have had usable results with using my phone camera (via an app) for scanning and sending it to the printer over WiFi.
