“Every time I turn the printer on again, the computer fails to detect it. It works fine, as long as it is never turned off and unplugged. How do I reconnect it wirelessly to my printer without having to uninstall and reinstall the drivers every time?!”

I have an HP computer and I print fine every time and I also print from my iPhone with no issues at all. I think probably your computer is not very compatible with the printer or vice versa because I have had no problems at all. One thing for you to keep in mind is that the printer should be close to your computer. My computer and printer are like 3 feet away from each other without no furniture or walls blocking their signal and that had worked for me fine.
