Brought this for my grandson for college. 1. Yes it can be installed on desktop. 2. I don’t remember the measurements but it will fit on a standard desk. 3. I gave him my old Mac (2016) and it install with no issue. As long as you clear enough memory off your laptop and you have been keeping up with some updates you should be fine.
