- Answer I am using mine with an iMac (on macOS Catalina) and it works great. I believe you will be okay with your MacBook Air but you should check the software requirements to make sure the drivers are compatible with your macOS version.

QuestionI understand that all printing ceases if a single cartridge is depleted. My question is, must ALL cartridges, black AND color be replaced before printing can resume? Ex: only black ink is out; and color inks are full as no color printing has taken place

- Answer Mine is a new printer to me. The two Cartridges are very large. In my other Canon if one cartridge was empty it had to be replaced before printing resumed.
