A:AnswerNo. Canon PIXMA 8520 uses 250 and 251 series cartridges. While they physically fit into the slots for the TR8620a printer, the printer does not recognize them electronically, and gives an error message.
You will need to start over and buy 280 and 281 series cartridges for the TR8620a printer. Another disadvantage: these cartridges are sold in a 6-combo-pack, rather than individually. For ordinary document printing, one uses more black ink than any of the other colors, so it's preferably to buy cartridges individually.
