I didn't need a disc and it did not include one..just need to go online to canon website and follow set up instructions which include downloading software

No. Make sure you have internet access. Go to Settings on your computer. Click on Other Devices, Printers. Search for Canon TR 8620. Open/click on device and follow instructions.
