- Answer this lens is perfect for that, you can use it to take video, it works well in low light thanks to its high f-stop and motion stabilization. the only downside is that 35mm means you have to get kind of close to your subjects, but that is acceptable for lifestyle shoots.

- Answer Neither. The rebel T5 has an EF-s mount that is compatible with EF & EF-s lenses. Similarly, the M50 has an EF-M mount that is compatible with EF & EF-s (with an adapter bought separately) & natively with EF-m lenses. As of now, January 2024, RF mount lenses such as this one are only compatible with Canon's EOS R line of mirrorless cameras. Hope this helps!
