For the focal length, it's good, but this is a slow lens, meaning less light gets to the sensor, and thus higher ISOs or slower shutter speeds will be required. The slower aperture also means the lens is more prone to hunting, where it can't reliably nail focus; this is more problematic in lower-light or low-contrast situations, but it is worth noting. This might not be a huge impediment if you're shooting outside during the day, or under a lot of lights, but you may have more missed shots, or shots that are grainier because of it.
