Hard shell case and yes is very durable and protective. My Daughter tends to drop her phone a lot and so far no issues

It's not flexible but fully protected

It is a hard shell case and it does protect the phone if dropped.

Hard shell case. I drop my phone daily- On hardwood floors and outside on cement. Corners are protected. The case is durable and pretty!
