No, there are some differences. While both models are lightweight, portable, easy to set up, have similar apertures, and able to resolve Saturn's rings, Jupiter's four largest moons, the AstroMaster LT 70AZ has a more rugged design and uses a pan handle to point the telescope. The optical tube can easily be removed from the dovetail holder. The PowerSeeker 70AZ is an entry-level model designed for casual observing at an affordable price. The optics are fully coated and will provide clear and sharp views. You can't go wrong with either model.
