• There is a phone mount that is used with the Starsense app to help you with finding objects in the night sky. It is not something to use for pictures.

• The phone mount comes with the telescope and gets fitted to it during set up/assembly. The mount itself has a spring loaded feature to hold the phone in place and it worked fine for us even without having to take the phone out of the protective case we have on it. Alignment was dead easy.
