The "maximum" magnification is just a number, usually around 60 times the aperture [in inches]. In this case: 130 mm / 25.4 mm per inch = 5.12 times 60 = 307x magnification. Good quality Barlow lens will be able to increase the practical magnification by a factor of 2x up about 3x. The use of specific filters may further enhance the quality of the image depending on the celestial object of choice. A good system enhancement starting point would be a set of basic filters and a 2X Barlow lens.
