Not at all. The Travel Scope 70 was designed to be easy to assemble, is lightweight and portable, and offer nice views. The optical tube attaches to the tripod, the tripod extends, and the accessories such as erect image diagonal, eyepieces and finderscope can easily be attached to the optical tube.
