“Can the glass carafe be separated from the base for cleaning?”

• Kettle lifts off of the plugged-in base. Not sure if it is immersible. We wash it out and wipe the outside. We only boil water so not much cleaning needed.

• The carafe separates from the electric base, but the carafe itself also has an integrated base.
