- Answer Kettle lifts off of the plugged-in base. Not sure if it is immersible. We wash it out and wipe the outside. We only boil water so not much cleaning needed.

QuestionDoes it has "keep warm" function? How long can it keep the water in preset temperature?

- Answer It doesn’t have a stay warm function, but you just touch one button on the lowest setting and it brings it back to temperature in seconds. So you really don’t need it. I’d say it stays pretty hot for about 30 min to an hour.

- Answer Remove it, sure, a good pair of heavy pliers should remove it by breaking the plastic. Once successfully removed, your problem is replacing it on the kettle. Lid pops up to fill or clean the kettle. Removing the lid serves no practical purpose it seems

- Answer I fill the kettle halfway (that is 1 liter of water) and the bottom 3/4" of the tea infuser is submerged. This makes a nice pot of tea.

QuestionWhat are the pre-set temperatures set for? How long does the kettle stay at the preset temperature?

- Answer The preset temperatures are 175°F which is ideal for delicate teas like dessert teas and yerba mate and the LED will be green, 185°F which is great for white teas and some green teas and the LED will be blue, 195°F which is great for most green teas and will be yellow, 200°F is great for gentle black teas with a purple LED, and 212°F which is great for herbal teas and earthy black teas and the LED will be red. These settings can also be used for your cooking needs depending on the recipe, and it boils water faster than on most stoves.
