• I was just rinsing it with water and a strainer in the sink (to catch the tea), but not I I use a cone coffee filter.

• I would recommend a gentle cloth like a cheese cloth that won't leave little bits of cotton inside because that would impact the flavour of the water or tea. Most cloths would do well, but it would be best to not use abrasive or friable cloth.

• My suggestion would be a microfiber cloth & water, so as not to leave fibers or chemical residue, stuck in the tea infuser. Go for a quality microfiber cloth that has the tightest woven knit, such brands are Ecloth & Norwex.
