- Answer The minimum to heat water is .5L. The minimum for tea would be 1.0L as the basket does not reach that far down.

- Answer I tried this morning to heat milk for hot chocolate and the unit just turned right off each time after maybe 30 seconds. It must somehow sense that it’s not water.

- Answer The infuser is removable. Just stick your fingers in and pull it out; hopefully the water is not hot.

QuestionDoes the boiling water come in contact with plastic? If so, is the plastic a health risk? I'd rather not have plastic slowly mixing it's way into my tea.

- Answer The only plastic it touches is the pouring spout but it doesn't melt into the tea. It's safe for heat even when using excessively (when I was sick I used it all day long for my tea and my instant soups.)

- Answer Honestly, rinsing is all you really need if used properly. I've left heavily brewed tea in it for over 14 hours and after a couple of rinses in the sink it was perfectly clean. After daily use and excessive use when sick I have no stains or damage to my kettle.

QuestionWill this work to make Tetley tea? I drink Tetley tea all day, every day and just can't get enough! I need to get something I can put the bags in and boil them while adding more for flavor throughout the day.

- Answer It's great for Luzianne and Lipton teas but something about Tetley brand is very incompatible with this device. I simply would not suggest anyone use it with Tetley brand. The general description indicates it is for tea-making, so not sure why your Tetley is special from any other tea.

QuestionWhy do the lids always break? I’ve gone through three of these kettles now and I’ve given up. The lid breaks after about a month, won’t close and won’t shut off automatically.

QuestionBeeping when place back on warmer It is not in the instructions about the beeping one hears when placing the unit back on the heating pad. Seems it beeps to tell you the electric is making contact. Surprised nothing in the manual.

QuestionDoes this have a timer so tea could be ready just before I wake up? Can you make milk tea with this?

- Answer There is no timer feature so you cannot set it ahead of time. I have the pot setup the night before and in the morning then I just have to push one button to get the water heating. I have never made milk tea in this kettle so I cannot really answer that question. Certainly after the tea has brewed, you could remove the infuser and add milk to the kettle to stay warming on the electric pad.

- Answer I'd recommend using it for household use. I don't know what else you would use it for, but it should be fine if you need hot or warm water and you are in a safe environment. It does need to be on the stand to heat up.

- Answer That's the tea infuser. You would place loose tea leaves or tea bag inside the infuser. The water would be placed directly into the glass kettle. As the water is boiling the tea or flavored tea will be distributed to the boiling water.

- Answer that is not called "keep warm" function turned off. I have the same ask that I don't need the keep warm function, just want it to be the same as normal kettle, once the water is boiled, it turned off without trying to keep the temperature. that is pretty annoying.
