This is a great electric kettle for college students living in a small dorm. It holds a good amount of water while not taking up too much space (and it also doubles as a tea infuser!) Seriously i had to get this to replace my traditional kettle. Since getting this drinking tea has been so enjoyable. It literally takes less than 10 minutes for the water to go from cold to hot and there's several settings for water temperature thats indicated by color. Do yourself a favor abd get this.

First time purchasing an electric kettle. I wanted to go cheap but read the reviews about floating plastic in the water, no thanks. So this was middle of the road price with glass and stainless steel. No leaking or leaching flavor... It is much bigger than I need it for but it doesn't take up much space. The kettle is light but feels sturdy. Its color coded so that's fun. It starts off on red which is the hottest and I haven't changed it from there. The water will boil in less than a minute and beeps when it's finished. It says it stays warm for 30 minutes but I don't make excess water. I use it for pour-over coffee, oatmeal, and soup. One criticism, the base. It's disappointing, because the first thing you see when you open the box is flimsy plastic. It has not been a problem so far.
