I think it's 8 inches. But one is all I eat at a time. Also, one is enough for my husband. We eat bacon or sausage with it though. It comes with the measuring scoop and a little thing that cleans out the holes that you pour the batter into. It's so easy to clean up and the waffle isn't shaped like a volcano. (I was wondering about that)
