I tried this for the first time earlier this week. It looks like a sturdy well made product.
When I unpacked the waffle maker, there were small pieces of plastic in the packing materiels that looked like they had broken off of the waffle maker. However, I can find no obvious damage to the waffle maker itself so I am hoping for the best. Instructions are fairly comprehensive.
From my first attempt, the waffle maker makes reasonably tasty waffles and it is non-stick without any added oil. However, even fillling the supplied scoop to the rim, it did not make complete waffles. Each waffle I made had one quadrant that wasn't full. It may do better with a different waffle mix (I used Pillsbury complete waffle mix for the first attempt).
The waffle batter was thin and poured easily into the spout on the waffle maker; but, for all three waffles I made, one of the four quadrants did not fill completely. Waffles were fully cooked and tasted fine. They just weren't as nice looking as I would have liked.
Clean up was fairly easy. The detachable pour spout was easy to clean. However, clean up of the piece ofn the waffle maker that the pour spout attaches to was a little tricky. I was able to get it clean using a small plastic bottle brush.
Overall, I like the idea behind this waffle maker. I just hope that future attempts result in complete waffles.

Works as described and makes excellent waffles. For me it takes a little bit more than one scoop and 5 minutes to get them golden on both sides. The bottom plate cooks a bit darker but they turn out great. Interesting design that does work and takes out most of the guess work. Easy to clean up as well. Glad I bought one, two would be even better.

Had to replace my Belgian waffle maker and this is one is great and actually is a Belgian waffle maker! Tried a few other models/brands, but this one exceeded the others.
Read the directions, use the scoop, make sure your batter is not too thick to pour cleanly into the spout, and all should work out as intended. Be forewarned, if batter is too thick, it will make a mess in the top spout (can be unscrewed in dire emergencies). Very pleased with this maker.

Pretty good design. Tends to brown the bottom more than the top, but overall cooks very well and mix doesn’t stick to waffle maker.

Bought it to replace a old 'flip over' model that was 8 years old. I like the digital display, ability to pick the crispness of the waffle and compact design. I do not like the latching mechanism (which has been a problem - may be defective). You also need to have the 'perfect' viscosity batter for it to work properly. Too thick and it does not fill up the entire inside (and makes a mess outside); too thin and the waffle does not taste right. To fix this I now use a scale and put in what I found to be my ideal amount of milk, powder and egg(s) based on multiple trial and error batches. I still sometimes get a 3/4 or 7/8s waffle (instead of a whole one) but they taste fine.

Once you get the hang of this waffle maker, you do enjoy the art of making your own fresh waffles at home. It's not the most user-friendly appliance, and you will definitely have to run several trials to get the hang of the process. There is a plastic cup included in the box which is your best friend in the measuring process. Fill it past the line with batter and your waffles will burst through the top spout and make a mess. Fill it with too little batter and your waffles will come out misformed and half cooked. Fill it to the line and pour and you'll get it just right. I would recommend spraying the bottom surface with a cooking spray before closing the maker and pouring the batter. Also, keep a spatula handy to peel the finished product off the bottom surface.

This waffle maker is very compact ... I like to bring it with me to have waffle parties with my nieces and nephews ... they love it too ... very easy to use ... they even make their own waffles. Got it when it was the Deal oof the Day ... great price too!!!
A:I think it's 8 inches. But one is all I eat at a time. Also, one is enough for my husband. We eat bacon or sausage with it though. It comes with the measuring scoop and a little thing that cleans out the holes that you pour the batter into. It's so easy to clean up and the waffle isn't shaped like a volcano. (I was wondering about that)
