Easy to use and easy to clean
I shopped around and read reviews before deciding on the Hamilton Beach Belgian flip. I've always enjoyed homemade waffles but totally dislike cleaning up the old style waffle makers. One of the deciding factors for me was that this one has removable griddles coupled with an excellent nonstick surface makes cleanup a breeze. by the second waffle I had found the perfect temperature setting for the way I like mine cooked. I've used it multiple times since and just set the temperature, pour the batter, give it a flip and about five minutes later a beautiful golden brown waffle. Afterwards I unplug the unit let it cool remove the griddles and give them a quick wash (be careful you don't want to scratch the nonstick surface) wipe the unit down with a damp towel and in less than 3 minutes everything is clean and ready to be put away. If you're looking for a Belgian waffle maker I would definitely recommend this Hamilton Beach.

Great Waffle Iron!
Have used several times since the purchase/delivery and we are very satisfied with it. Makes terrific waffles and is easy to operate and clean (especially like the removable plates). Heats quickly and completes a cycle in 5 minutes.

Restaurant Quality @ Home
I've always wanted a restaurant quality waffle maker at home and now I have one. Cooks the perfect waffle every time, as long as you follow a few key tips: 1) Follow the directions out of the box for the first waffle. Wash and then grease the griddles with vegetable oil; 2) Don't expect your first waffle to be perfect, but every one after that will be; 3) Learn to time the waffle yourself. The indicator light I've found to be inaccurate. But if you just watch the clock and go about 4-5 minutes per waffle you'll be golden; 4) Use a little plastic cup to fill the griddle and do it from the center, not filling each waffle compartment separately. Definitely takes a couple tries to learn exactly how much waffle batter to go with. If you overflow the first couple times, don't worry, it cleans right up; 5) Get fun with it and add some extras to your batter, like blueberries, bananas, chocolate chips, etc... Enjoy!

Nice Waffle Iron
I like this waffle iron. The biggest advantage is having the removable plates. There are a few design flaws in the waffle plates, they put circle indents on the high part of the waffle that traps food, I actually use a Q-tip to clean it. Also, it is a bit bulky to store and it gets hot, but not as hot as my previous iron.
