Call Ring Customer Service. Those guys are amazing. This should help you out but I would call them to be on safe side. It really helped me.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am using an Apple WiFi extender because it uses the same SSID as my router and allows connectivity to my ring doorbell as well as my Arlo cameras
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your arlo cameras are connected to the Arlo base station via a dedicated wireless link and the arlo base station is in turn connected to the router via a lan cable so its a bit unfair to compare the arlo cameras to the ring doorbell that connects to your router wirelessly Since your router is in your living room and i am assuming your Ring doorbell is just at the door to the living room, i expect the connection to be decent enough for you to use. since that's not what you're experiencing, then maybe something is wrong...your doorbell might be getting a non-unique IP address. try and troubleshoot and call ring helpline
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Wolf, Thanks for reaching out. Yes, a WIFI extender should help with the connection issue that you are experiencing. Would you kindly email me at [email protected] so that I can address this issue further for you? I would appreciate your time. Kaitlyn R., Neighbor Satisfaction Specialist [email protected]
