Does this remote use battery or do u charge it? null

I gather it works like the typical “keyless entry/ car starter” remote. I don’t charge it, so it probably has the same type of battery. Hope that gives you a little more clarity. Shown is photo of old remote and new remote.

It uses battery but must be recharged after 2-3 months of use. Cord is included
