“Can you put it along with battery cut off switch that saves battery during long nonusage times. I don't use my car for a week or two, & more so during vacations. Just wondering if it will be a hassle to have both there, the cut off switch and this remote?”

In your situation I would like to share with you that if you cut off the battery for at least one week then you might have to take back to where you had your installation to do the RESET if the remote start does not work properly.
