I have the Compustar with a push button start in my vehicle. The Compustar will NOT replace you original vehicle remote for a push button start. You will need both key fobs. In fact, the remote starter has a safety mechanism in it to turn off the car when the doors are opened. Once in the car, you can start your warm car as normal.
