There is an installation charge. I bought mine on sale and received the installation as part of the deal. So be sure to read the fine print. Mine gave me the remote start service installation with T-Harness ($130 value for free), along with the T-Harness to fit my vehicle (which was another $100 value that I received for free). If you keep you eye on this item, they do offer free installation pretty often.
