As a computer technician, I always shoot for higher wattage than I really need. This gives the system greater stability, and the power supply will last many times longer than if you just go with the minimum wattage. You will use this power supply over and over again, in a number of builds, as you upgrade your system over time. The 750 Watt version will also allow you to go with dual graphics cards later on if you wish.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Never under kill your computer. The cx750m power supplies we use are good part. We use them in our DVR units and they only require 500. plus you never know when your are going to up your video card and will need more POWER. lol you cant go wrong upping the wattage of the power supply
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Personally, I wouldn't think of it as being overkill but rather being better prepared for an upgrade at a later date. If you ever want to perform a SLI or Crossfire setup with your video cards then it's better to be prepared. I've been happy with this power supply so far and I'm running a Bluray drive, 2 Samsung 950 M.2 chips, a Sandisk SSD, a Creative Z PCIx sound card and pushing a Nvidia 1070 video card. This PSU handles all of that without any issues whatsoever. Hope this helps to answer your question.....
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Payton, No. I don't think it's overkill. Unless you don't plan on upgrading your pc at all. Otherwise, I wouldn't consider it overkill at all.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No it's not overkill, I'd recommend it. I had a 550w 80+ Gold, however once I upgraded my GPU I had to increase my wattage. you shouldn't ever need more than a 750w. By getting this you should be set for quite some time.
