hi there. i know you asked this months ago but the metal pieces on the backplate are actually adjustable. this was the only issue i encountered during this build. i was very determined to make the backplate fit my motherboard and then i realized they were moveable with a bit of force.

Hi Husky,

It would depend on the Socket you are installing the cooler on to. The retention brackets standoff points can slide inwards towards the center to fit 115X sockets. If you'd like assistance, please feel free to reach out to our support team: support.corsair.com

I found that I had a similar problem, but you can slide the screws a little bit up and down the slot to make them fit. After I did that, it fit perfectly!
