“I only want a single fan. I'm only interested in changing the stock fan that my case came with. I kept looking online and it seems a little complicated, for a single fan what extra device do I need in order to have the RGB lightning work?”

Hi Alex, For a single one of these, you'd still need a RGB hub and either a Lighting Node Pro or Commander Pro. If you have any other questions, please reach out: support.corsair.com

Please try again later.With the Corsair LL 120 RGB fans you will need the Corsair commander to be able to control lighting effects, or you can get the Corsair lighting node , however i do believe you can change colors or effects. if you hook it up to and fan header it will randomly play through colors, if you want to change it you need commander pro which plugs into your motherboards usb header, not to worry about losing that header on motherboard the commander pro has 2 usb headers on it . Then you download Corsairs ICUE software and now you can change fan effects,and colors. Best bet is to buy the commander pro with the fans as a kit way cheaper and then add lights or fans. It is pricely though but so is just one fan. If it where me i would look for another brand unless you change them all or want RGB light strips also
