- Answer Hi, Yes you can use this memory. Your laptop based on the model number used 204 pin DDR3 sodimm and can be upgraded to 16gb of memory. You have two memory slots.

- Answer early 2011 would only be able to use 8gb from what I found out. CMSA8GX3M2A1066C7 is the kit I'd look for.

- Answer The Dell Inspiron 15 (5559) Laptop takes the DDR3L PC3L-12800 1600MHz SODIMM memory type, and comes installed with 8GB memory. Note the type of memory is DDR3L not the normal DDR3 memory. The 2 types of memory are not compatible because they have different voltage requirements. You need DDR3L. The most your PC can have is 16GB of memory.
