• A:Answer early 2011 would only be able to use 8gb from what I found out. CMSA8GX3M2A1066C7 is the kit I'd look for.

• A:Answer The Dell Inspiron 15 (5559) Laptop takes the DDR3L PC3L-12800 1600MHz SODIMM memory type, and comes installed with 8GB memory. Note the type of memory is DDR3L not the normal DDR3 memory. The 2 types of memory are not compatible because they have different voltage requirements. You need DDR3L. The most your PC can have is 16GB of memory.
