The Dell Inspiron 15 (5559) Laptop takes the DDR3L PC3L-12800 1600MHz SODIMM memory type, and comes installed with 8GB memory. Note the type of memory is DDR3L not the normal DDR3 memory. The 2 types of memory are not compatible because they have different voltage requirements. You need DDR3L. The most your PC can have is 16GB of memory.
