• It is not, you need a SODIMM Kit, please refer to your laptop's manual so it tells you exactly what parameters to search for.

• You need to look at the type of motherboard you have. See what type of processor you have currently, as in look for the 4 digit number ex “1151”. Whatever your current one is, the new processor has to have the same 4 numbers, which indicates the same socket type.
