I do not believe so.  It does seem pretty clear and if your asking if it blocks out reverb I believe it does.  I think you would be happy with this headset.  Its probably one of the nicest ive used personally.

The option to hear yourself is the sidetone option on the iCue software. There is only a sound wheel for overall volume.

There's only a single volume scroll for the headset, but you can enable Sidetone in iCUE so that you can hear your own voice from the microphone.
