Hello, Thank you for reaching out to us, Crucial devices are USB devices, therefore when connected to a Thunderbolt port it runs using the USB speeds supported by the system. The system must support USB 3.2 in order to operate the X10 at the full speed, even when connected to a Thunderbolt port that is rated faster, or the device will downshift to single-lane USB 3.2 Gen2 rates.
