Your thunderbolt 3 is MUCH faster than usb-c and this will take full advantage of that speed.

Our devices are USB devices, therefore when connected to a Thunderbolt port it runs using the USB speeds supported by the system. The system must support USB 3.2 Gen2x2 in order to operate the X10 Pro at the full speed, even when connected to a Thunderbolt port that is rated faster, or the device will downshift to single-lane USB 3.2 Gen2 rates of 10Gbit/s which gives transfer rates around 900MB/s in benchmarks and optimal workloads. Meanwhile, if you have any further query, please feel free to visit our contact page: https://www.crucial.com/support/contact to know about other ways to reach out to us. Regards, Crucial
