Yes, these are dishwasher safe.

One place in the ad said dishwasher safe then on the stores description it says hand wash - so confusing!

You are not supposed to ever put knives in the dishwasher.

Just because an item is dishwasher safe, doesn't mean you should put them in the dishwasher. Stainless steel knives should be hand-washed and dried.

They are dishwasher safe so I would not put the plastic cover in the bottom I put that on the top if I need to but most times I just washed it by hand
