“Is there any way to turn off the ticking time bomb sound that comes on when you turn this unit on? I just received mine and can't imagine having it constantly ticking... even during pre-heating.”

• No there's not. I return my last week. It would not get hot enough It was way too hard to Clean. Very dissatisfied with it.
