There is a stainless steel one and a glass one. We've always had the glass one.

The carafe is glass with a black plastic lid and handle. The front, sides, and back of the coffee maker are stainless steel, and the top is black. It's a wonderful coffee maker and looks great!

It's glass. At least that's what mine came with. You can likely purchase stainless as well.
