“Last night worked great ..this morning power light was off and will not come back on..so no TV for awhile ..it is probably 2 or so years old ...is that about how long they last ? ..and is that really my problem ?.........Thank you so much ....Fred”

Often after about 2 years the batteries will go bad. They can easily be replaced. If you find a reasonable cost battery well worth it. The type of batteries used need to be cycled or they will fail much sooner. I will force use of the UPS about twice a year by pulling it's plug from the outlet and letting it discharge most of the way. I have several over 5 years old going strong. Also prolonged storage wjthout use and a dead battery may make it impossible to recharge. If not using make sure battery is charged.
